SOUTHERN CHEESY GRITS CASSEROLE

A Southern staple, grits bring together seasoned ground beef, eggs, and cheese for a tasty breakfast or brunch!

INGREDIENTS

Large Radish

Grits, butter, water, cheddar, salt, black pepper, onion, ground beef, paprika, eggs, and milk

In a large stockpot, add the grits to boiling water.  Cook, stirring constantly, for 10 to 12 minutes.  Then, stir in salt, pepper, butter, and cheese and set them aside.

In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and cook onions for 5 minutes. Then add ground beef and spices and cook until no longer pink.

While the meat cooks, whisk together the eggs, spices, and milk.  Pour the eggs into the skillet with the cooked meat and "scramble".

Once the eggs are cooked, add in the grits and stir to combine. Pour this into a baking dish and top with cheese.  Bake as directed.
