Serve this tasty comfort food meal as a side dish or main dish at your dinner table this week!
Frozen pierogi, cream cheese, sour cream, chicken broth or vegetable broth, shredded cheddar cheese, and chopped green onions.
Start by preparing the pierogi. Place in a microwave safe bowl with water and vegetable oil then heat as directed to soften and thaw. Then, pour into a sprayed baking dish.
Next, you will make the cream sauce by combining the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and part of the shredded cheese together with broth in a large bowl.
Spread the sauce over the top of the pireogi in an even layer. If desired, top with additional cheese before baking. Bake as directed.
Serve pierogi casserole with fresh chopped chives or green onions on top. It is also delicious with crumbled bacon or diced ham included for a full meal!
