3 large white onions peeled 1 ½ teaspoon cajun seasoning 1 teaspoon garlic powder 4 tablespoon butter 2 cups cheese blend 1 teaspoon dry oregano ¼ cup full-fat cream
Preheat the oven to 180C/350F.
Slice onions thinly using a mandoline.

Using a large rectangular baking pan layer half of the onions and sprinkle with half of the spices. Repeat layer of onion and spices again, pour in cream, then top with pads of butter.

Top with cheese and bake for 45 minutes, check if onions are tender before serving.
