In a large bowl combine ground meat with shallot, egg, breadcrumbs, rice, worcestershire sauce, garlic, thyme, bacon, parmesan cheese, salt and pepper. Mix well, form into 9 meatballs.
600 g 21 oz ground meat (beef+pork), 1 shallot, 1 egg, ¼ cup panko breadcrumbs, ½ cup long-grain uncooked rice, 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce, 2 garlic cloves, 1 teaspoon thyme leaves, ½ cup cooked bacon, ¼ cup parmesan cheese
In a large casserole dish mix together tomato sauce with tomato paste, beef stock, salt and pepper. Place meatballs on top and cover with a foil. Bake for 30 minutes, remove the foil and continue cooking for 30 minutes more. Serve with some fresh parm and basil.
